Starting with Confronting the Green, I began a series exploring geometric constructions in which some of the elements were interference film. This is the first progression in the series from the starting point. 

The technique I use is to lay down some random under-texture and then begin using colour to define shapes suggested by the texture. As I build up the transparent shapes, the composition increases in complexity, a property I like and exploit.
